Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Stapleford Abbotts Primary Academy. My name is Kim Thackray and, along with Sharon Simpson, we have been appointed as Head Teacher and Head of school.

I am currently a Head of a local secondary school and will continue to hold this role, whilst working with Miss Simpson to drive this school forward. Our experience gives us a full understanding of where your children currently are and what progress they will need to make to achieve age related expectations. We know what will excite them and will create for them a school where learning is; interesting, challenging and thought provoking, in a safe and happy environment.

Miss Simpson and I will ensure that this school is one that our community can be proud off. We both have high expectations for this school, all its staff and for the outstanding education that we will provide for your child. Together we will work with you to the same end and with the same purpose for your child to be happy and to achieve remarkable things. We believe that standards and expectations must be high, and we will support everyone to achieve them.

We will keep your child safe and always communicate with you. We are available via email and by phone, and will respond every day to your needs. The school will also communicate with you via the website and send home newsletters.

Your child is important to us and they will be treated as individuals. Our passion is learning; and we and our staff will inspire your child with this same passion. Learning will be active and engaging, they will be motivated, stretched and challenged because we want them to achieve their very best. We want your child to be in a school that is a happy one and where everyone is valued for what they bring to it.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our new website which we are still working on and will keep adding to.
